We have something exciting in the works at the YWCA Saskatoon
In 2022, the YWCA Saskatoon Crisis Shelter & Residence turned away a staggering 4,253 women, youth and children. That is over 10 women a day and 354 each month. The YWCA does not know where they go.
These women and their families need a place to sleep. They are also often fleeing abusive situations, looking for a hot meal, or needing support for mental health or addictions. The homelessness crisis in our community disproportionately affects women and children. This is the reality for so many in our city – and the number is growing.
Yet, these women have HOPE. Hope is what drives them forward, to seek out the YWCA. Hope is what motivates us, as we serve these women and help them rebuild their lives. We want to ensure HOPE and light remains despite the darkness and trauma.
To address the overwhelming need in the community we are embarking on a $19 million Hope Lives Here fundraising campaign
Safe. Supported. Alive.

Invest in a Life
We invite you to invest in the life of a woman or a child fleeing trauma and violence. Your generosity will multiply impact beyond measure, creating more than just a safe space to house women and children: it will give women the time and support needed to stabilize, to empower and to rebuild. You may support the campaign through a one-time donation or make a pledge with more manageable instalments.
Through the Hope Lives Here Campaign, your gift can support more than one room. More than one program. More than one life saved.
“The support the YWCA gave me directly attributes to the woman I am today.
My future is bright and only getting brighter”
