YWCA First Aid & CPR Courses



Heads up! The YWCA Saskatoon is launching our brand-new First Aid & CPR course this summer!

This comprehensive two-day course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • The Red Cross
  • Preparing to respond
  • The EMS system
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Airway emergencies
  • Breathing and Circulation emergencies
  • First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Wound care
  • Head and spine injuries
  • Bone, muscle, and joint injuries
  • Sudden Medical Emergencies
  • Environmental Emergencies
  • Poisons (includes opioid poisoning)

Students are advised to wear comfortable clothing as they will be required to move effectively to present skills. Parking is available in front of the building, but we do ask that students sign in at the front desk

Students who complete this course will earn a 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED.
