Advocacy, Crisis Shelter & Residence, YWCA News

Join us for this important and empowering night!!! The SWCC  presents Take Back The Night! This is an annual rally and March that takes a stand to raise awareness and end gender-based violence.  We will have a guest speaker that will speak to the impact of violence followed by a march up 25th street and the College Drive Bridge.  The night is all about joining together and standing up for our right to be respected and feel safe in our communities.  We are seeking to end sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse, the stigma that often falls on survivors and all other forms of sexual violence.

There will be refreshments and entertainment to follow. We have local band Jezebel performing after the march!

Take Back the Night will start at 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 21st. We will meet at the YWCA on 25th Street at 7 pm.

All ages and genders welcome! Please dress for the weather!

*There will be an off duty city bus that is available to anyone who may have mobility concerns but would like to take part in the event.
