“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” – Earl Nightingale

Projects can seem daunting when you look at how much time they will take, but what good is that time if you are not using it for something that matters to you? You will use that time to do something, so why not use it to achieve what you truly care about?

This may seem easier said than done since time and effort are not the same thing. You will need to consider how to actually achieve a dream rather than just find the time.  However, if you really want to achieve your dream do not deny yourself the opportunity to try because the commitment seems overwhelming. Make a plan, break down the steps, set your goals and move forward from there.  If you give yourself the opportunity to try, you will often find possibilities.

You are more capable than you can even imagine. There is a tendency to underestimate yourself because it is easy to set goals you can achieve.  It is much harder to take your big dreams seriously and then do the work to make them happen.  You might be surprised by what you can achieve when you set the bar higher and fully acknowledge and utilize your abilities.

When you have a goal in mind, the world seems to work to help you achieve it. Your sub-conscious helps you to make choices that point toward success. Today is the right time to start and there is no better feeling than achieving a goal you set seeing it as an impossible challenge.

Earl Nightingale says, “The moment you decide on a goal to work toward, you’re immediately a successful person – you know where you’re going.” Once you know where you’re going, the actions to get there will become clear in exactly the right time.

The Employment and Learning Centre is here to help you make a plan, set goals and follow through. We can help you use your time to achieve your career goals.
