The winter of 2015/2016 has been mild by normal standard but we never get through the year in Saskatoon without some cold weather. This coming weekend (January 16th to 18th) plans to be a cold one with high’s around – 25 degrees Celsius. Temperatures like those can make it difficult to get regular exercise but YWCA Fitness on 25th has a few options for you throughout the winter season.
Each weekend we will have three class options for you to pick from:
At 9:00 am every Saturday, we host an Aqua Fitness 2 class. The Aqua Fitness 2 classes are moderate to challenging level workouts and, with our warm pool temperatures, will get your weekend off to a great start.
9:15 am every Saturday and Sunday, you can participate in our new Y-Fit Functional Fitness classes. These functional fitness classes will challenge you through both cardio and strength exercises. We have not had a land class offering on Sunday’s for some time so this is new territory for us.
And, at 9:30 am every Saturday, Megan will host our weekend Yoga class. We began this class in the fall and it is developing a strong following. And, for 2016, we have moved the Yoga class back into the Studio which is a better setting for the class.
There are always lane swim options as well and the weight room is open from 8 am to 8 pm on Saturday’s and from 8 am to 6 pm on Sunday’s. Check our online schedule and make sure to add some movement to your weekends.
