Saskatoon, SK—Kathryn Ford has been named the 2017 Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Kathryn is a force in Saskatchewan’s legal community and has done pioneering work in collaborative law. Her work ensures that all voices are heard and that decisions are made collectively.
She also has been responsible for building capacity for community organizations, including the YWCA and the Prairie Hospice Society, leading expansion and transformation that has strengthened our community and empowered individuals.
“With this award, our community is celebrating all the significant contributions Kathryn has made to empowering others over the years, and all she is still doing. Several years ago, Kathryn was instrumental in building up our own organization during a time of expansion of services and facility. To see Kathryn chosen by our independent selection committee, and recognized publicly as a Woman of Distinction, seems very fitting,” said Shannon Zook, Chief Executive Officer, YWCA Saskatoon.
