Janice and Jason are two of our wonderful members. From the first time I saw them, I was so impressed by their dedication and hard work. Watching them work out was a true motivation for me when I was supposed to work out after a long day at work.
Since January 2017,
Janice has lost 38 pounds and Jason 33 pounds.
Below, you can read a short story of them and find out how they went through the journey of fitness.
Janice and I have been training with Val since January 2017. We were out of shape and hit rock bottom. I had worked out with her many years ago and had a great success, so I knew who I had to contact to start over again. We finally found Val and signed with the YWCA to train with her.
We were really scared at first and not sure what to expect… We wanted an everybody gym where all people of all different shapes and sizes were welcome… We wanted to feel at home… We were really scared to even do a walk through to look at the facility… From the time we walked in, we felt at ease from the front desk staff that was very welcoming. Fred, the Fitness Manager, made us feel at ease: he showed us the facility and explained everything in a positive and upbeat way. We got up pumped to be part of the YWCA culture and family. Once we started, we realized we made the right decision. We really enjoyed the fact that the other fitness trainers were there for us too: they were really encouraging and cared about our progress. Nima has been a great role model and has inspired us through our journey of fitness. Personal trainer Val is an amazing, caring and giving person. She has helped us grow not only as individuals but also as partners. We respect her more than she will ever know.
The YWCA is an amazing place and
we will continue here through our journey!
