What’s Happening at the YWCA

News & Events from Employment & Learning

YWCA Saskatoon’s Employment and Learning Centre remains closed for in-person programs in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.  We will continue to provide remote services via email, telephone and online (Facebook).

We believe it is important to maintain your job search momentum. As such the Employment and Learning Centre will offer you daily job search advice and support that you can complete from home.

As always, apply with job search documents tailored to the job you are applying for.  A one size fits all resume will most likely not work in today’s economy.  Make it easier for the employer to hire you by highlighting the skills you have that are relevant to the employer.

Today’s post is another post in the series….

A number of employers in a variety of industries remain open for business during the COVID – 19 situation.  YWCA Saskatoon’s Employment and Learning Centre has been working with the Saskatoon Food Bank to brainstorm ideas on the sectors that remain open and continue to hire.

The first sector that comes to mind is the grocery, pharmacy, and retail sectors.  We have learned that the following businesses are hiring.  Here is the inside information::
