On behalf of our board of directors and entire leadership team, thanks for your partnership, support and involvement with YWCA Saskatoon last year. Our YWCA Saskatoon 2016-2017 Annual Report, “Wrap Around,” has been published, and I would encourage you to read through the impact stories about our work in the community:

YWCA services and programs “wrap around” the women, men, youth, and children we interact with every day. Wrap around services is what we are known for—a range of supports that meet needs of our clients who are each at a different point on their personal journeys.

Our guiding mission describes this range of coordinated services working together: “nurturing the well-being of women, girls and their families through inclusive services and supports.” I hope you will enjoy reading the great impact stories in our report.

  • We are committed to a long term relationship with an expanding caseload of family outreach clients to ensure housing is secure.
  • We believe in the benefits of food security, nourishing bodies, and giving a sense of community.
  • We are proud of the determination of our clients to gain independence and achieve their employment goals.
  • We strive to be a place of inclusion where every individual is welcome and safe.

We will continue to walk with our clients on their steps toward a better life, and we are thankful to each of our supporters for enabling us to serve in this way.

Our doors are always open, and I encourage you to come in and get to know YWCA Saskatoon better.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to the work we do!

Shannon Friesen,

Chief Executive Officer
