YWCA Saskatoon hosts Candidates’ Forum on October 7, 2015
SASKATOON, Oct. 5, 2015 –
What: YWCA Saskatoon is hosting “We’re talking women,” an opportunity for Saskatoon voters to meet local candidates in the upcoming federal election, and hear them speak about their commitments to women’s issues.
The political forum will be moderated by Heather Persson, Editor, StarPhoenix. All parties are invited to participate.
Saskatoon’s “We’re talking women” forum follows the recent #Up for Debate national conversation organized by YWCA Canada along with partners Twitter Canada, Toronto Star, and Le Devoir. A Regina forum is scheduled in Saskatchewan for the same night as the Saskatoon one.
When: Wednesday, October 7, 2015, 7:00-9:00pm
Who: Organized and hosted by YWCA Saskatoon. Confirmed candidates include: Cynthia Block (Liberal Party), Claire Card (NDP), Val Harvey (Green Party).
