YWCA Trade Journey program is developing a tool to help employers in the construction industry assess the extent to which their workplace is inclusive, with special emphasis on the inclusion of women in their workforce.
Women with experience working in trades related jobs know what is said/not said and done/not done to make them feel included/or not…YWCA Trade Journey needs that information so it can be integrated into the assessment tool. Would you be willing to help?
The plan is to have a couple of focus groups (the weeks of June 13th and 20th) where you could participate with others in sharing your experiences and perspectives on what employers need to stop, start or continue doing to make you feel comfortable and included at work. If your schedule doesn’t allow you to join one of the focus groups, someone will interview you personally.
