October 19 Open House and AGM

Wednesday, October 19 is the YWCA Saskatoon Annual General Meeting, and all community members are welcome to attend.

This year our focus our mission: to nurture well-being of women and families through inclusive services and supports.

Date: Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Time: 2:00-4:00 Open House tours and refreshments, 4:00-6:00 Guest Speaker Shelley Joseph and AGM, social time to follow.

Location: YWCA Saskatoon, 510-25th Street East. Tours begin and end at the main floor yoga studio.

Open House:

Our team at the YWCA would like to extend a special invitation to all members of the community. During the afternoon, we will be hosting an Open House from 2:00-4:00pm. We welcome members of the community, clients, other community based organizations, and members of the news media for tours of the YWCA. Join us for an inside look at YWCA spaces and programs and meet both staff and clients who will talk about what the YWCA means for them.

Guest speaker Shelley Joseph:

Following the Open House, the YWCA Saskatoon AGM will begin at 4:00pm with a featured guest speaker, Shelley Joseph from Reconciliation Canada. The daughter of Chief Dr. Robert Joseph, Shelley has over 20 years of experience paired with education covering spiritual, physical, mental and emotional well-being for families and communities. She is passionate about supporting First Nations people to take an active role in healing and growth. She is involved in the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women initiatives and is a board member of the Circle of Eagles Lodge Society.

The YWCA business meeting will follow Shelley Joseph’s presentation. Everyone is welcome to stay for the afternoon tours, refreshments, and the meeting.
