Day Camp Counselor
Fitness on 25th
Fitness on 25th - YWCA Saskatoon is now hiring for the position of Summer Day Camp Counselor. This position will be from June 30, 2008 to August 22, 2008 with a madatory orientation in the week prior to the start of camps.
Duties include:
- Recreational programming for children ages 6 - 14 years, including crafts, sports, games drama, activities, swimming etc.
- Ongoing communication with parents and participants
- Create a warm, safe and enjoyable environment for participants.
- Supervision of volunteers and CITs (counselors in training)
- Act as a role model for participants, volunteers and CITs
Hours of Work:
Up to 40 hours/week with shifts between 7:45 am and 5:45 am
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (mandatory)
- Valid Criminal Record Check (mandatory)
- Studies in the following fields would be considered an assett: Kinesiology, Education, Recreation and Leisure, Early Childhood Development.
- Demonstrate self motivation
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
