This is time for you and your trainer to work one-on-one. Each session is approximately one hour and the characteristics of a session can differ for each individual.
At Fitness on 25th at the YWCA, we take pride in providing individualized Personal Training. This includes helping you define your goals in a realistic and measurable manner through a well rounded diverse program to help you reach your long term goal.
Personal Training is for everyone from new comer to the gym to the elite athlete to the person trying to combat the aging process or the person looking for a workout to do at home. Personal training sessions help you to see results more quickly, prevent boredom and overuse injuries.
A trainer will guide you through your workout session, provide you with motivation and monitor your technique to help you reach your personal best.

Find your program is not providing results or your feeling bored? It may be time to meet with our fitness staff who will review your current program and spend approximately one hour adjusting it to your current goals and fitness level. Our fitness staff recommends that you should revitalize your program every six to eight weeks.
Cost: $25.00
This program is for the member who has not done any strength training before or has not done any strength training for years. Our fitness staff will spend approximately one hour showing you weight room etiquette and basic strength training techniques through a beginner strength training program.
Cost: $15.00

This is a mandatory session for youth between the ages of 14-15. Our fitness staff will spend approximately one hour showing you weight room etiquette and basic strength training techniques through a beginner strength training program.
Cost: Free by appointment
A Fitness Assessment determines your current level of fitness in five areas; aerobic capacity, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition and flexibility components. Results are given in a health benefit/health risk zone format.

This test measures your body composition in terms of muscle mass and fat mass percentages. Analyzing body fat percentage is more accurate in determining positive changes in healthy weight loss or gain. Weight alone can only tell you mass, not if you have lost fat and gained muscle.
